Peloponnese Day 1: Aigeira and Aigio

The view over the Corinthian Gulf from the site of Aigeira. To get here we had to break up the celebration of the inauguration of the new local church of Ag. Dimitrios. The townspeople were not thrilled about that, because once we went through, everyone else did too, and that was the end of the party.
The site of Aigeira, the best part of which is the theater!
An abandoned house in Aigeira. There is a whole group of these houses, built out of mud-brick and in a charming state of decay. After seeing the mud-brick houses, we went back down the hill and interupted the church ceremony again, before heading to Aigio. Some houses in the town of Aigio.

The sleepy town square of Aigio, from which we had to be removed by a police escort. Day One is getting off to a promising start!
